Undertaker Costume Gallery

Undertaker was completed in December 2011 and debuted at Ikkicon VI in Austin, TX. The cosplay consists of a cassock-like undercoat, an overcoat with a large collar, a grey sash, two jewelry belts, two necklaces, false nails, a buckram hat, and boot covers with nine buckles each. My memento belt utilizes the one canon character name that we've seen thus far (Claudia P., though now I think we've seen all four and learned that the 'P' stands for Phantomhive...as I suspected). The other three are characters from other series who have died: Jenny from NCIS, Ran from Texhnolyze, and...I can't remember the third one. The wig is styled by me from a wig I ordered off ebay (these were the times before I had standards my wigs had to adhere to...seriously).

Photos were taken in January 2012.

I do hope to have photos of this cosplay on a mannequin up soon!

Arisia 2012 Masquerade photo. Unfortunately they only photographed my back. The Grell Sutcliffe on stage with me is my friend Jenny.

Undertaker can be a Time Lord too! And he has TWO sonics! This was from Halloween 2012.

For Halloween 2012 I decided to try some different makeup effects and have an open wound on Undertaker's face instead of a stitched up scar. I received several compliments on it for realism!

Caterina Sforza (Rosencreutz Orden) Photo Gallery

Caterina Sforza was completed in July 2013 and debuted the same month at Albuquerque Comic Expo 2013. The tailored jacket and Victorian-inspired skirt are made of polyester shantung, the shirt out of simple white muslin. The tie is black brocade, the hat is covered in black stretch velvet, and the armband is made out of scrap taffeta left over from some project that I don't remember. Appliques are silvery satin affixed to Steam-A-Seam and then decorated. Other embellishments include dozens of buttons, about six yards of braid trim, and eight hand-sculpted pins made of paper clay. The wig is the same one I used for Daenerys, restyled from a wig I purchased from The Five Wits.

Seth Nightroad Photo Gallery

Seth Nightroad was my first venture into the world of armor-making. I learned a lot. I also made a lot of mistakes. So far, I believe this has been my most involved cosplay, and I doubt many could top it. Anytime you cosplay from Trinity Blood, you know you're going to be doing a shit ton of work.

This was was finished up in November 2012 and debuted a few months later at Arisia 2013. I actually started work over summer 2012 while I was working as an Artist-In-Residence at a Girl Scout overnight camp. The cosplay was sort of planned out, sort of not. I kind of took things as they came, and they turned out alright for the most part. A couple things should have been done differently, but, alas, they were not. Fortunately I cannot even remember what those things were. So that's okay.

Overall I probably used at least twenty yards of fabric and lots more lace and trim for this cosplay. There are also countless beads, pieces of craft foam, and lots of hot glue pieces. I don't even want to know how many bells I stitched (by hand!) onto that bloody scarf (which, I might add, I NEVER actually wore outside the photoshoot!). Since taking these photos I have styled a different wig to go with this cosplay. It's a bit more Seth-like than the bobbed wig I originally got.

The breasplate is made out of craft foam. A good beginning material choice, but not the best. The shapes were made by injecting hot glue into fondant molds.

Some detail shots of the fabric pieces, and the armor pieces I wore on my upper arms. This took a LOT of time.

Daenerys Targaryen (Qartheen Dress) Photo Gallery

Welcome to my Daenerys Targaryen photo gallery! This is the first gallery post I will be making in the next few weeks in order to create a comprehensive gallery of my work hosted on blogger.

Daenerys was completed in July 2013 and debuted the same month at Albuquerque Comic Expo 2013. The dress is made of sky blue habbotai silk hand-printed with gold patterning using a stippling sponge absconded from my makeup kit. The shoulder pieces and belt are made of leather and the wig is styled by me and purchased from The Five Wits.
